“Dedicated to finding effective solutions for bird mite infestations of humans and their environment, encouraging those afflicted, facilitating research and a better understanding of human parasitosis.”

About Us

This website was originally created in 2007 by Tim M. as he dealt with a bird mite infestation of his home and family. He hoped to provide education and support to others dealing with bird mites, while also facilitating research in this area. Over the course of several years, he added stories, experiences, research and treatment ideas to the site, continually adding to the wealth of information found here.

For many years Scott Mogul managed the day-to-day affairs for this website. Taking over for Tim, Scott continued raising awareness of bird mite infestation of humans. Scott’s goal for the website was to ensure that it has all the necessary information and resources available to help people coping with bird mite infestation. He was also interested in helping those dealing with bird mite infestation to connect with others, to decrease feelings of aloneness and isolation.

Scott has now passed the torch to the Bird Mites Education Group who now oversees all areas of the website, including content and website design. You can reach them through our contact page.  The Group will be adding more information to this website over the coming months in an effort to create the most up-to-date bird mites resource available.
