I can try. I’ve had them for over a year. It’s not easy by any means. What’s on this website I found was the most accurate of any other website or page or article. If you want you can call me if you’d like to talk, which belive me helps. If you respond I’ll give you a number. Stay strong you’re not alone.

I understand your situation. I’ve been dealing with bird mites for while. I was attacked clearing my decease dads house almost 2 years ago and it was a lot of hell at first. I can tell you some good advice but no silver bullet cure for now. The first thing is your diet. Eliminate sugars, dairy, caffeine, alcohol, fast/most can foods and meats except fish (no frying only baked). ): Yes I know. These mite things thrive off these foods/beverages mainly. I love coffee and suffer attack after drinking, have had to curtail intake. If you can’t eliminate, reduce and then reduce intake more. Our normal diets are a breeding ground for these parasites. Also treating rooms if infested is great but if they are burrowed in your skin taking showers only temporary relief, I know. Must attack them internally also with healthy diet and medicines. Look at the suggestions by others on this site. I can recommend Ivermectin paste, drinking lemon/vinegar water and taking antibiotics. I rub head and face with Vaseline/castor oil at night to hinder their movement. I don’t think one relief/cure fits all sufferers. These products have curbed my symptoms but not killed. But controlling my diet very helpful. I am much better than last year, very depressing still. Docs no help for me. Look on this forum and site for others remedies one may be silver bullet for you. I just saw a few more I’m going to try. I feel your pain.

stop the bug from moving in the house by throwing baking soda at the ceiling in about 4 feet by 7 Foot areas and one throw standing at an angle how about 45 degrees and throw it all the baking soda will land all over everything and stop every bug instantly. When you’re done with the room I found it’s best to clear the room of everything you don’t need and you don’t feel like cleaning everyday. then take a shower is what I do a ladder up with the shampoo and take 3 tablespoons of Arm & Hammer laundry soap and three tables spoons borax and put it in warm water in an old shampoo bottle with a rubber band around it to Mark it. I poured that solution over the top of my head into the foam of the shampoo. I leave it on 3 to 8 minutes and it kills the bugs it’s painless it has no smell it burns a little bit if you have a cut but it heals them up the Arm and Hammer and the borax cures cuts. next I rinse off take 32 oz of warm water and coconut oil 1 tbsp no more. and poured over the top of my head down to my toes and make sure it’s spread around everywhere. I rub my back against the wall the shower to make sure it applies the oily water to it. And I leave it on as long as possible hopefully overnight. Then in the morning I wash my hair again with shampoo and it comes out brand new like I’m 16 years old again because the coconut oil is good for the hair. And is needed to smother the baby hatchlings of the bugs. I hope this helps God bless you be cured many many many of us at this for him and we’re all no longer here because we used this procedure. The coconut oil and water is very important in all of us it puts a shield on the skin in the bugs don’t like you anymore it’s about 95% effective with the coconut oil for a shield. If you have a bad area I always found benzoyl peroxide sold on Amazon.com for $20 for a gigantic tube the size of a woman’s moose tube very large I think it’s 12 oz or 8 oz is very big. The benzoyl peroxide is best applied right after shower when you’re slightly champ smeared on the areas that are bad and leave it on until the next shower and it seems to cure very well the hard cure itching areas. Another cheaper and easier to obtain cure for the bad areas is Ted’s mange cure which is 16 oz of peroxide 32 oz of water to tablespoons of borax. Apply to affected area at least 2 to 3in wider than the area that is itching did you sleep here’s the hitch and stops it in 3 minutes. If it doesn’t reapply in 20 minutes it usually stops it then. It’s also good to carry that around in a bottle and applied it ever you get bit because it stops the itch, and kills the microbe that the bug brings when it bites you which causes all kinds of problems and non-healing cuts.. sometimes I make it up one cup of water one cup of peroxide in 5 tablespoons of borax it works faster and stronger that way. God bless you I pray this helps you ensure help hundreds of us at The Forum years ago and most all of us AR all better now. pray hard the Lord is the Healer ask him to heal you he will pray hard and often God is good he is wonderful he wants to take care of us and Feed Us and dandle us on his knee

Recommended Treatment Provider

We recommend you use a licensed professional to address a bird mite problem. Don’t wait or the problem will get much worse and more expensive to treat. We have a list of pest control companies that are specifically qualified to treat bird mites.

  • They come to your house for no charge and give a free estimate.
  • Even if you decide not to use them, you get free professional advice.
  • Most pest control companies have never dealt with bird mites before. You need to use a bird mite specialist.

Follow this link to find a Qualified Local Exterminator near you.

Keep in mind that if bird mites are not treated correctly, even if the correct chemicals are used, they can become resistant to those chemicals. Don’t use a pest control company unless they have extensive experience treating bird mites.

Also, many of our readers have followed up with (or used outright) natural solutions and pesticide-free, such as on our Treatments Protocols page Follow this link to that page.
